Exciting Ways to Begin 2025: IT CxOs Share Their Views

Tech Reboots and Bold Visions: IT CxOs Envision 2025

In a fun and revealing exercise, we posed three imaginative questions to IT CxOs to explore their aspirations, creativity, and future-forward thinking. The responses shed light on the lighter side of IT leadership while providing glimpses into their strategic priorities for 2025.

Mr.Prasad Tripurari, Chief Technology Officer of Ramoji Information Technology, shares the theme song for his IT department

Lighting the path with digital sparks,
Harnessing AI, data, and cyber streams,
We're building the dreams of tomorrow,
Making miracles in a world of overload.
      In 2025, it's IT's time to shine.

Mr. Rajbinder Singh Sidhu, IT Leader of Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd., has crafted a fun and lighthearted theme song for the IT Department of Mother Dairy, making sure that he celebrates both the company's 50 years, which completed on 4th December 2024 and the IT department's role as an enabler of growth through digital transformation, security, innovation, and efficiency.

      "Maa Jaisi, IT Ki Power!"
We've been here for fifty, shining bright,
Mother Dairy's journey, full of light!
Now it's time for a brand-new way,
Digital transformation starts today!

Maa Jaisi, we're here to lead,
      Security and innovation, guaranteed!
      Efficiency that drives us all,
We rise together, answering the call!

From cloud to code, we'll lead the race,

Here's to the future, here's to the dream,
With IT and love, we're a perfect team!
Maa Jaisi, IT's the power we bring,
Together, we'll make the future sing!

Further, we asked Mr. Subrata Roy, SAP Head of Lux Industries Limited, "If your IT department had a theme song for 2025, what would it be?" And he added,

Ruk jana nahin tu kahin haar ke
      Kaanton pe chalke
      Milenge saaye bahaar ke
Ruk jana nahin tu kahin haar ke
      Kaanton pe chalke
      Milenge saaye bahaar ke
      O raahi, o raahi

We asked the same questions from Rahul Apte of InfoCepts, the Head of Digital Transformation. "If your IT department had a theme song for 2025, what would it be?" Which goes like this:

Buddy, you're a boy, make a big noise
Playing in the street, gonna be a big man someday
You got mud on your face, you big disgrace
Kicking your can all over the place, singin'

We will, we will rock you
We will, we will rock you

It's a powerful anthem that can energize your team and create a sense of unity and determination as you tackle the challenges of 2025.

Rashmi Sharma, AVP IT of Manohar Filaments, answered the questions in a creative way when she mentioned, "If I could swap jobs with anyone in tech for a week, it would be Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet and Google. His role at the helm of one of the world's most innovative companies offers a unique vantage point to witness groundbreaking advancements in AI, cloud computing, and sustainability tech. Experiencing his decision-making process and strategies firsthand would be an unparalleled learning opportunity. It's not just about the scale of influence but also about understanding how to balance innovation, ethics, and user-centricity in a rapidly evolving tech landscape—insights that could redefine how I approach my own career.

Mr. Amar Helonde, Chief Technology Officer at Berar Finance Limited, share on "If you could swap jobs with anyone in tech for a week, who would it be and why?"
It would be "Mr. Satya Nadella," the CEO of Microsoft, who inherited fundamentally weaker Microsoft, and his moves have basically been unbelievably farsighted. I would be lucky to swap my job with him to get a Learning Curve of a Lifetime!

Mr. Anwar Akhtar, vCISO at Technivorus Technology, says, "Although it is not practically possible, however limitless budgets allow us to brainstorm large projects and put out major changes quickly while curing diseases or hooking billions of people up onto the internet are dangers of wasting funds upon overcomplicated tools and bad implementations that will send a project into a spiral of delays or unseen wrinkles.

Dr. Jagannath Sahoo, Chief Information Security Officer at Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited, shares on "If you had an unlimited IT budget for a day, what would be your first move?"
      • Upgrade Security Operations Center (SOC) with AI-driven threat intelligence and automated incident response.
      • Implement Zero Trust Architecture for enhanced security.
      • Expand cloud security solutions, including CSPM, CWPP, and CASB.
      • Enhance endpoint security with EDR, MDM, and vulnerability management tools.
      • Strengthen data protection with advanced encryption, DLP, and secure backup systems.
      • Invest in comprehensive cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees.

Mr. Anuj Joshi, CTO - S&A Law offices, Ex Vice President Information Technology – Evalueserve, If you had an unlimited IT budget for a day, what would be your first move? I will broadly split the budget into 4 parts - 25% for innovation/digitization, 25% for security, 25% for employee satisfaction and rest 25% for learning, education and development.

Mr. Veeraraghavan Narasimhan, the Leading Digital Transformation in F & B, shares the IT theme song.

We're the guardians of the code,
      Keeping systems in full mode.
From sunrise till the night is late,
      We innovate, communicate.

IT heroes, standing tall,
Fixing glitches, solving all.
Wired for speed, we're on the ball,
Tech support, we've got it all!

      Firewalls and networks strong,
      Protecting data all day long.
      Updates roll, the servers hum,
      In our hands, solutions come.

IT heroes, standing tall,
Fixing glitches, solving all.
Wired for speed, we're on the ball,
Tech support, we've got it all!

From code to cloud, we lead the way,
      Innovating every day.
      Through every crash, we'll persevere,
Your IT crew is always near!

We're the backbone, can't deny,
Keeping the business running high.
Call on us, we're always near,
Your tech team champions, loud and clear!

Let's see what Mr. Amit Gupta, CIO of Baidyanath, has to share; "if your IT department had a theme song for 2025, what would it be?"

Haan yahi rasta hai tera, tune ab jaana hai
Haan yahi sapna hai tera, tune pehchaana hai
Haan yahi rasta hai tera, tune ab jaana hai
Haan yahi sapna hai tera, tune pehchaana hai
      Tujhe ab ye dikhaana hai
Roke tujhko aandhiyaan, ya zameen aur aasmaan
      Paayega jo lakshya hai tera
Lakshya to har haal mein paana hai

We asked Mr. Sujoy Brahmachari, the CIO and CISO at Rosmerta Technologies Limited, "If you had an unlimited IT budget for a day, what would be your first move?"  He replies - This is a dream come true but you need to understand very important point i.e organisations priority come first. Technologies, Services and Cybersecurity needs to be aligned with organisation goals and road map. It's always "Business driven IT functions" not the other way. All new initiatives and currently prevailing one should be backed up by strong business case. If you have an unlimited budget, buy my view, you should follow the above

Let's have a look around at fun hypotheticals! Shared by Mr. Diptikesh Kotphode , Head IT at SKH Magna India Pvt Ltd  "If you had an unlimited IT budget for a day, what would be your first move?"
If I had an unlimited IT budget for a single day, typically some would think of significantly accelerating AI research and Industry 4.0 developments.

However, having worked for more than two decades with multiple OEMs and MNCs from automotive segments while serving in the IT domain, I would have a different perspective here.
With an innovative mindset, I would rather look for the first innovative thought of the day, which would be having a substantial investment in the Opensource Company, which can work with me for the next few years in addressing my IT problem statements.

I am sure no one can forget Microsoft's investments in Open.AI. The world-leading company investing in an open-source platform is remarkable and we happened to witness the same.
I think we, as IT leaders, will always have to be readily available for ever-demanding business needs.

More or less, we have similar problem statements, some of which are:

  1. Security Threats are getting more intelligent than before
  2. ERPs ever-changing Licensing models, Their Cloud Strategies
  3. Software Version Upgrades, Platform Changes
  4. Digitalisation and Industry 4.0
  5. Multilevel Collaborations across diverse applications.
While addressing such problem statements, I should be having the open-source community helping me out in day-to-day business.

We asked Mr. Ravi Karkera, Cybersecurity Expert & CISO at Ajmera Realty & Infra India Ltd. "If your IT department had a theme song for 2025, what would it be?" He adds, "We are the guardians of the digital age, breaking through every limit, every cage. With vision and might, we pave the way. In 2025, we will rise again.

Mr. Abhijit Chakravarty,Executive Vice President - Networks & Cyber Security at Kotak Mahindra Bank writes:
This theme song goes for the SOC

      Jahan teri yeh nazar hai
      Meri jaa mujhe khabar hai
      Bach na saka koi,Aaye kitne
      Lambe hain mere Haath itne
Dekh idhar yaar Dhyaan kidhar hai
